Overview
Insomniac is hiring an Apparel and Accessories Product Development Manager for its Formula 1 apparel division in Henderson, Nevada. The role covers factory costing, bills of materials, vendor negotiations and sampling, with in-office work three to four days a week and substantial travel to factories and event locations.
What you'll do
- Lead factory cost negotiations and maintain costs against financial objectives
- Build and maintain accurate bills of materials and cost sheets
- Oversee sampling, development schedules and pre-production milestones
- Travel to factories to oversee manufacturing quality control and compliance with audit policies
- Partner with the Creative Director on seasonal concepts, colour palettes and materials
What you need
- Four to six years or more of product development, design or production experience in garment manufacturing
- Extensive knowledge of raw materials and garment construction
- Extensive experience working with domestic and international manufacturers
- Familiarity with leading a team and working with a PLM system
- Ability to travel around 50% of the time
