Marketing Events Manager

Overview

This Detroit Lions marketing role leads fan experience and events, including Training Camp, draft parties, watch parties and game-day activations at Ford Field. It sits within the club's marketing department and includes managing a mobile marketing unit and supervising promotional staff.

What you'll do

• Manage the relationship with an external vendor operating the Lions mobile marketing unit, scheduling it across Lions, community, partner and festival events.
• Lead fan experience for Training Camp and open practices, covering fan entry, parking, hospitality vendors and giveaways.
• Plan and run major events such as draft parties, watch parties and brand marketing events.
• Help deliver pre-game, in-game and post-game promotions, including tailgate activations and concourse activities.
• Supervise and onboard marketing associates, training camp assistants and the game-day promotions team.
• Track marketing budgets, process invoices and provide spend updates through the year.

What you need

• At least four years of event management or game-day promotion experience with a professional sports team or Division 1 college program.
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, journalism, sports management or a related field.
• Comfortable working nights, weekends and holidays on a flexible schedule.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe creative software.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Schedule

Non-standard hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed to support football operations and events.
