Insomniac is recruiting a seasonal theatrical wig and hair specialist for its Electric Daisy Carnival Orlando 2026 event. The role involves preparing, styling, fitting and maintaining wigs and headdresses for performers across shows and rehearsals. Applicants need a hairstyling diploma or at least three years' relevant experience and must hold US work authorisation.

What you will do

• Prepare, restyle and maintain theatrical wigs and headdresses to approved designs
• Apply and pin wigs and headdresses securely for performers during rehearsals, shows and changes
• Repair, clean and prepare hairpieces for the run of show
• Maintain maintenance records and follow health and safety procedures
• Pack and store headdresses and hair items after each show

Requirements

• Diploma in hairstyling or at least three years' relevant theatrical wig or hairdressing experience
• Able to wash, set and recreate a style from a photo
• Hands-on skill with styling tools and pinning
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods and work shifts of up to 12 hours
