Summary
LA28 is recruiting a senior manager to lead design and delivery of a Games-time Olympic and Paralympic venue in Los Angeles. The role moves from design coordination with partners and consultants into on-site construction and delivery, and includes managing a small team and budget. It is a full-time, in-person position at the LA28 office.
What you will do
- Lead end-to-end design, build and delivery of a Games-time venue
- Manage a team of three to four staff alongside external partners and contractors
- Coordinate venue design with internal teams, partners and consultants, then lead on-site execution
- Liaise with the IOC and IPC to confirm requirements and manage approvals
- Develop and manage the departmental budget and align with infrastructure programme management
Requirements
- At least seven years of relevant industry experience in event overlay design and temporary infrastructure delivery
- Working knowledge of California Building Code requirements is preferred
- Event operations, logistics or hospitality experience is preferred
- A bachelor's degree in a related field is strongly preferred, or equivalent work experience
- Experience working with senior executives across multiple functional areas
