Paralegal

Overview

This Los Angeles role supports LA28's commercial and operational contract work ahead of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The paralegal drafts, tracks and maintains contracts and related records, working on-site in the Downtown office within the legal team.

What you'll do

• Prepare and update standard contract templates and first drafts for goods, services and other commercial needs
• Compare redlines and proofread agreements for accuracy, consistent formatting and version control
• Log negotiation progress and status in the contract management system so records stay current and ready for audit
• Coordinate timing with internal teams and outside parties throughout negotiations
• Draft confidential correspondence, memos, contract summaries and presentations, and support attorneys with light legal research

What you need

• Four or more years as a paralegal or legal assistant, ideally in a large firm or in-house legal department
• Working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel for legal documents and spreadsheets
• Hands-on use of contract management platforms to track negotiations and deadlines
• Clear written and verbal communication with senior stakeholders and external partners
• Comfortable with long periods of desk-based work in an open-plan office

Schedule

Hours may vary and can include evenings, weekends and holidays, particularly during peak Games periods.

Pay

Annual base salary of US$73,000 to US$85,000, as a starting range.
