Senior Associate, Energy Design Engineering

Overview

This Senior Associate role in Energy Design Engineering supports electrical design for venues of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles. It sits within LA28's Venue Infrastructure team in the years before the Games and reports to the Director, Energy Design Engineering. The work centers on temporary power overlays and load analysis across competition and non-competition venues.

What you'll do

• Produce detailed electrical studies that set load needs and measure energy capacity to identify supply shortfalls.
• Assess risks to venue power supply and propose solutions for loading, reliability and resilience.
• Monitor venue design changes and assess their effect on temporary power overlays on existing infrastructure.
• Coordinate internal teams with outside partners, including temporary power suppliers and electrical design engineers.
• Run the approval and review process for energy technical requirements alongside Venue Infrastructure, Technology and Broadcast teams.

What you need

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering plus at least four years' experience assessing, designing or delivering electrical infrastructure.
• Proven record of detailed electrical design, including practical energy solutions within design packages.
• Skill in load estimation and capacity analysis to identify supply gaps and reliability or resiliency risks.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for engineering analysis and reporting.
• Able to work onsite at the Downtown Los Angeles office in an open-plan environment, with extended periods at a computer.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit or BIM360 is valued.

Schedule

Hours may vary and can include evenings, weekends and holidays, particularly during peak event periods.

Pay

Annual base salary range of $88,000 to $115,000.
