Senior Manager, Telecom Program Delivery

Overview

This senior role at LA28 leads telecommunications delivery for venues and operational sites supporting the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Based in Downtown Los Angeles with hybrid working, it involves coordinating with the broadcast integrator, telecom suppliers and venue teams. The focus is secure, sustainable network infrastructure with value beyond the Games.

What you'll do

• Plan and deliver venue wide-area network connectivity aligned with the Games technology plan.
• Lead technical staff and suppliers towards engineering standards for secure, wireless-first infrastructure.
• Track supplier delivery, risks and dependencies, and hold suppliers accountable for outcomes.
• Work with cybersecurity teams to reduce vulnerabilities in telecom designs and deployments.
• Coordinate testing and operational handover against performance and reliability service-level agreements.
• Identify infrastructure legacy opportunities that will remain after the Games.

What you need

• Over 10 years of telecommunications engineering experience on large-scale projects, ideally including venue or major event technology.
• Working knowledge of IP-WAN, MPLS, DWDM, SD-WAN, broadcast circuits and dark fiber deployments.
• Experience working with carriers and cybersecurity teams on compliance and security standards.
• Availability for evening, weekend and holiday work during peak Games periods.
• Ability to work in an open-plan office for extended periods using computers and phones.

Schedule

Hours may include evenings, weekends and holidays, particularly during peak event periods.

Pay

The stated starting base pay range is $105,000 to $140,000.
