Manager, Planning Venue Technology

Overview

LA28 is recruiting a Manager for Venue Technology planning at its Los Angeles office, supporting the integration of technology and audio-visual services across Olympic and Paralympic Games venues. The role focuses on programme management, reporting and coordination across functional areas, with onsite working in Downtown Los Angeles and some direct line management.

What you'll do

• Support programme management and reporting for Venue Technology, liaising with Venues and Infrastructure, Planning and Programs, Energy and Logistics
• Manage internal departmental communications and prepare periodic venue technology updates
• Assist in maintaining the Venue Technology Implementation Plan and monitor workflows against schedules
• Support Telecoms, Service Delivery, Results and Cyber Security teams in turning requirements into implementation plans
• Manage a small team of direct reports supporting the wider Venue Technology team

What you need

• Formal project or programme management qualification such as Prince2, MSP or PMI is required
• Five or more years in technology project management, or three years in programme management, ideally in live events, venue operations or large-scale infrastructure
• Advanced Smartsheet proficiency is essential, with Tableau or similar tools an advantage
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical, vendor and non-technical audiences
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams
