Event and Venue General Manager (Sr. Manager)

Overview

This senior role leads venue operations planning and readiness for a competition venue at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, taking each site from concept through Games-time delivery. Based in Los Angeles with the Valley venue as the base, it involves overseeing functional teams, budgets and risk across the venue.

What you'll do

• Lead venue-based event operations planning and delivery, and the venue team working towards readiness
• Act as the day-to-day venue leadership contact for the venue partner and wider stakeholders
• Coordinate with venue owners and local authorities on Venue Use Agreement compliance
• Track infrastructure, technology and technical deliverables with the relevant teams
• Manage venue service levels, identify risks and report status to senior leaders
• Coordinate security, accreditation and local authority relationships for the venue and its approach

What you need

• Bachelor's degree in sport management or a related field
• 5+ years leading venue, event or operations delivery for major live sporting or entertainment events
• Track record of leading senior, cross-functional teams to fixed event deadlines
• Experience directing budgets, master schedules and risk registers across concurrent programs
• Ability to work extended periods on computers and phones in an open-plan office

Schedule

Hours may include evenings, weekends and holidays, particularly during peak event periods.

Pay

Annual base salary range of $105,000.00 to $140,000.00 USD.
