Manager, Training Venue Operations

Overview

This Los Angeles role sits with the organising committee for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games and focuses on the training venues where athletes prepare. The manager will plan venues, coordinate with Sport Managers on layouts and build the operational structure ahead of the Games. The post is based onsite at a downtown office.

What you'll do

• Lead planning for assigned training venues and keep milestones and deliverables on track.
• Work with Sport Managers on venue layouts and design.
• Shape the venue team structure, covering staffing levels, role descriptions, management structure and recruitment.
• Write the policies, procedures and operational tools used for planning and delivery.
• Coordinate operations and communication across functional teams and venues.

What you need

• At least five years leading national and international sporting events, ideally including multi-sport events.
• Broad event operations experience across leagues, federations, universities and grassroots sport.
• Understanding of international and national venue delivery, including training venue requirements set by international federations, the IOC and the IPC.
• Experience recruiting, training and leading a large, diverse workforce for sporting events.
• Strong communication and team-building skills, with knowledge of international federations valued.

Schedule

Working hours can extend into evenings, weekends and holidays, particularly during peak event periods.

Pay

$88,000 to $115,000 annual base salary (USD).
