This senior softball role sits within LA28's sport team preparing the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. It is based at the Los Angeles headquarters before moving to Oklahoma City for Games-time delivery, and centers on softball planning, governing body liaison and leading a competition management workforce.
What you'll do
- Serve as the internal softball specialist, particularly when drafting and refining event operating plans.
- Handle communication with the World Baseball Softball Confederation and brief senior sport leaders on planning.
- Work with venue and event teams to shape softball input into competition and training venue design.
- Contribute softball requirements to pre-Games, test event and Games-time delivery plans.
- Direct the competition management workforce across competition, athlete and federation areas.
What you need
- At least five years running softball tournament competition operations.
- Deep knowledge of international softball rules and technical regulations.
- Prior work with the World Baseball Softball Confederation or comparable international or national governing bodies.
- Experience leading a workforce at tournaments and briefing senior leaders clearly.
- Office-based work in an open-plan setting, with outdoor exposure in varied weather for extended periods.
Schedule
Hours can vary and may include evenings, weekends and holidays, particularly during peak event periods.
Pay
Annual base salary of $88,000 to $100,000 USD.
