Night Owl Transportation - Class A CDL Driver

Overview

Insomniac is hiring a Class A CDL driver to transport event-related goods and assets on local and long-distance routes. The role is based in Las Vegas and on the road, reporting to the General Manager and Logistics Manager of Night Owl Transportation.

What you'll do

• Complete pre-trip inspections on the tractor and trailer and log results to FMCSA and DOT standards.
• Secure loads correctly so product is not damaged in transit.
• Deliver goods on local and long-distance routes within set time windows.
• Keep dispatch, department heads and customers updated throughout each trip.
• Submit trip logs, bills of lading, inspection reports and receipts on time.
• Maintain assigned equipment, keeping it clean and fueled, and report lost or damaged items.

What you need

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Two or more years of tractor-trailer experience preferred, with a clean driving record and no moving violations.
• Passing background check and drug test.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate electric lifts, hand trucks and pallet jacks.
• Comfortable with loud, busy environments and extreme temperatures on job sites.
• U.S. work authorization required; no visa sponsorship offered.

Schedule

Evening and weekend hours may be required to meet deadlines and work events. Over-the-road trips often keep the driver away for many days at a time.

Pay

Pay ranges from $20 to $24 per hour.
