Sales Manager

Overview

This sales manager role in New York focuses on winning and growing B2B clients for renewable energy market research products. Clients include utilities, financial institutions, consultancies and developers. The post sits within Informa Markets, which runs a large portfolio of trade events and online platforms.

What you'll do

• Prospect and secure new clients across energy companies, investors, consultancies and government bodies.
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships, spotting upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
• Lead negotiations and close deals on contract terms that suit both client and company.
• Work with marketing, product and research colleagues to tailor solutions to client needs.
• Provide forecasts and sales performance analysis to senior management.
• Represent the company at industry conferences, events and webinars to build market presence.

What you need

• At least three years of B2B sales, ideally in renewable energy, energy market intelligence, data analytics or a related field.
• Proven record of meeting sales targets and managing long sales cycles.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including explaining technical topics to varied audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in business, energy, environmental science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of CRM software such as Salesforce and Microsoft Office.

Pay

Pay is stated as $75,000 to $80,000 depending on experience, plus commission.
